This regulated and nationally recognised qualification provides Learners with the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in basic life support and the management of anaphylaxis. The content of this qualification has been approved by the Anaphylaxis Campaign.

Intended Audience.

The QA Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Management of Anaphylaxis (RQF) qualification has been designed for those who have a specific responsibility at work, at home or in voluntary and community activities, to provide basic life support and manage anaphylaxis when dealing with an emergency.

On this course our aim is for you to gain confidence in a medical emergency to give basic life support (CPR)  until professional help arrives.

This is ideal for those needing to learn or revise basic life support first aid skills.

Topics covered:

  • Acting safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency

  • CPR – cardio pulmonary resuscitation

  • Using an AED – automated external defibrillator

  • Choking

  • Treatment of the unconscious casualty and seizures

  • Management a casualty with anaphylaxis

Duration: 1/2 day
